Order, Chaos, and The Sea Between

The way a fish swims

The way a lion walks

The way a bird flies

The way a family is structured

The way the sun rises, sets, and rises again

The way one season flows to the next

The way the cosmos is structured

There is so much order in the world. So, why does life feel so chaotic? Put simply, it only takes one fault in the gears to throw off the whole system. One nail in the tire throws off the whole vehicle. Even so, the order can be restored.

“IN THE SEA BETWEEN, THERE IS GRACE” (JOHN 1:16).

Apply this to how your life is structured.
What do you prioritize?
Do you set no time aside to fill the needs of others?
It only takes one nail in the tire.

Apply this to nutrition:
It could be that one high calorie food consumed every day that is keeping you from your weight loss goals (a 250 calorie item every day of the week is 1,750 calories or half a pound). No, this food isn’t the only culprit, but it certainly isn’t helping. It only takes one nail in the tire.

Apply this to exercise:
Is there that one exercise that you grind through despite all the back pain you feel with it? It only takes one nail in the tire.

There is an ultimate order that will be restored one day (Romans 8:19-22). Still, in the midst of this chaos, salt and light can still uphold order (Matthew 5:13-16). In the sea between, there is grace (John 1:16).
