“KEEPING OUR EYES FIRmLY FIXED ON OUR UNCHANGING GOD, AND NOT ON OUR EVER-CHANGING SITUATIONS.”
This post will be very short, but I hope that it gives you an opportunity for meaningful reflection. Sometimes, we are so focused on what we ought to do next, or so focused on praying for the strength, protection, and blessing that we seek, that we forget to consider what has already been done in our lives. As we near the Thanksgiving holiday at the end of the month, I would encourage you to start your prayers by telling God what you are thankful for. Doing this can always help to give us the proper perspective, keeping our eyes fixed on our unchanging God, and not on our ever-changing situations. Man falls short every day, but God, His Word, and His Kingdom stand true. May our hope in God ground our understanding, and always be the light that leads us to praises of thanksgiving (Psalm 100:4).
